When in Rome do as the Roman do, I think if your boss and you co-worrkers curse-then its ok in moderation. But if you’re not comfortable with cursing- dont.

I disagree with kdavis. I think you should maintain professionalism at all times regardless of what your co-workers are doing. It is very unprofessional to curse in the workplace and what if a client overhears and decides not to do business with your company because of it.

I think what industry you work in has a lot to say about the accepted curse-etiquette, but these days it seems like everyone is cursing. A lot of new businesses these days are leaning towards the casual work environment.

However, I personally know of people who can’t control their cursing around clients, but it hasn’t proven to affect the sale of a project or the business relationship.

FUCK… Did that make a difference on your judgment of my character?

In the office in a business context (meetings, interviews, etc), it shouldn’t happen. But if you’re at the water cooler talking about something non-work-related with familiar company, I think it’s fine.

What do you think?
